Vinod K. Tewari, Ph.D. (Delhi), is Professor and Coordinator, Centre for Human Settlements and Environmental Studies, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. His research interests include management and policy issues related to human settlements systems and regional development. Professor Tewari has published widely on these topics in India and abroad and is the co-author of The Structure of an Indian metropolis (Allied, 1979), and Indian Cities: Ecological Perspectives (Concept, 1986).
Joseph Philip, M. A. (Bihar), ITPBA (Harvard), is Director, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. His professional interests are in the areas of human resources development, management education and small business. He is the author of a number of articles on these topics and the co-editor of Management Education in India (IIMB, 1980). Amar Nath Pandey, M. A. (JNU, New Delhi), is Associate Faculty Member at Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Lucknow. He has previously worked at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. His research and training interests lie in the fields of entrepreneurship development, small industries and regional planning.
