Slices of a Setting Summer

What are slices of life? It is an average day that starts and ends in the same place you lied at? Is it one specific moment that defines how it all shapes out? And what about life itself? Is it merely the world from the lens of others, or are they important parts that shape who they are as a person? How many slices can one truly have? Are they plentiful or is there one that rules above all others? Slices of a Setting Summer can't claim to be all knowing, but it'll try to answer these questions in four short stories, "Speak to her Heart", "Heatwave", 'The Perfect Ten" and "The Butterfly", all of which showcase varying pictures of modern life from the lends of high-schoolers, young adults, college students, and kids.

For those struggling to express themselves towards a loved one, "Speak to her Heart" shows that you don't have to worry. If you believe in yourself hard enough and work up your confidence, you may be able to win the girl of your dreams.

When it's summertime, the sun loves to boil the sidewalks with unrelenting heat. If you're looking for ways to make the best of it, join Marty and Matt as they feel every degree of "Heatwave".

Unrequited love can be an unfortunate thing, especially if you've been raving about the one girl you've got a crush on. But imagine what it must be like for the person you're talking to. "The Perfect Ten" paints a picture of such an exchange and why you should probably think twice before you tell your friends about the hunk/babe you met at the coffee shop.

And finally, explore the joys of adventure in "The Butterfly" and go on a fun journey with Kwesi as he and his new butterfly friend head to the playground while Naia learns to let her guard down and embrace her inner child. After all, you're only young once!
