Dr Spike Briggs MD FRCA CEng is a consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia. He has sailed all his life, including racing around the world in 1996. He is the Managing Director of Medical Support Offshore, an advisor to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and member of the Medical Commission for World Sailing.
