The standout title is Singles Skating, as it fully describes the different jumps, turns, and techniques that are frequently mentioned throughout the series but only completely detailed in this volume. Photos accompany the descriptions of skating techniques, providing visual learners with a deeper understanding of each one. "Fast Facts" asides include many trivia snippets that don't otherwise fit into the text but offer a broader view of figure skating. In addition to a glossary, terms are defined on the same page where they're first mentioned. VERDICT A lovely first purchase for new and seasoned figure skating pros, especially Singles Skating.
