SING WITH BLING EPISODE 11 – THE LITTLE FIR TREE by John Rothman ©2016 JR Music USA

LA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LAA MY NAME IS BLING, I LOVE TO SING I KNOW A ZILLION SONGS IF YOU WANT TO LEARN THEM YOU CAN SING ALONG LA LA LA LA LA LAA SONGS ABOUT TOYS AND ANIMALS, ALMOST ANYTHING MY NAME IS BLING AND I LOVE TO SING, I DO!
Hi Blingalings and welcome to my favorite time of the year! It's holiday time and some of my friends say "Merry Christmas" while others say "Happy Hanukkah" and "Happy Kwanzaa." Oh, it's SO exciting to sing songs about reindeer and jolly old Santa Claus. And don't forget the snow and jingle bells. Oh, I love it!

My story today is about a very special tree. There was a little town called Happyville and one day the mayor called a meeting. He cleared his throat and said importantly: "I think it's time to choose a special tree to decorate for the holidays."

His friends agreed and they went to a nearby forest to choose a tree. The first one they saw was a big oak tree. He stretched his mighty branches to the sky and said: "I should be the special tree. I'm big and strong! Look at my muscles! I have lots of green leaves to give shade and I can make acorns!"

Then Miss Willow spoke: "Oh, fiddle dee dee, Mr. Oak. Muscles indeed! Look at my beautiful branches, swaying in the breeze. I am graceful and elegant and I'll definitely be chosen as the special tree."

Close nearby there was a little fir tree who said nothing at all. He knew that he was too small to be chosen.

The next morning Mayor Cromwell called another meeting.

"Well, we have to decide about the tree. What do you think, Mr. Snogglebee?"

"I think the oak is awesome. Big and strong."

"And you, Mrs. Pindlegrass?"

"Oh, definitely the willow! She would make a splendid special tree."

"There is a problem," the mayor said. "They are both huge and we want a tree that people can take into their houses. Did you notice that little fir tree? I think it would be perfect. The branches would be great for hanging things onto."

And so it was decided. The little fir tree was the happiest tree in the forest when they told him that he would be the special tree. He looked wonderful when all the lights were on and the gifts stacked underneath. Even though he was small, he became the most important tree in the whole wide world.

I just LOVE that story and today's song is "Tiny little Tree!"

TINY LITTLE TREE IN THE FOREST I HAVE WATCHED YOU GROW THROUGH THE HEAT OF SUMMER AND THE WINTER SNOW TINY LITTLE TREE IN THE FOREST YOUNG AND FRESH AND GREEN YOU'LL BE THE MOST IMPORTANT TREE THEY'VE EVER SEEN I KNOW YOU FELT UNWANTED LONELY ALL THOSE NIGHTS BUT EVERY YEAR YOU'LL BE SPECIAL WITH YOUR TWINKLING LIGHTS YOU MAKE ALL THE CHILDREN HAPPY HEAR THEM SAY: "OH, WOW!"
Thanks for watching and remember. ... Be cool, be kind and be careful! Have a fantabulous holiday and remember that Santa will soon be visiting. I'll also be back to ask you to SING WITH BLING!

Byezeebye, Blingalings!
