Patons Metallic Variegates medium (worsted) weight nylon/acrylic/wool yarn (2 ½ oz/197 yds/70g per skein):
2 [4] skeins #97004 marlin teal
Size F/5/3.75mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
Gauge
5 dc and 4 ch-3 sps = 4 inches; 5 sc and 4 ch-3 sps = 4 inches
Take time to check gauge.
Pattern Notes
Weave in ends as work progresses.
Chain-2 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Row 1: Ch 110 [158], sc in 2nd ch from hook (sk ch counts as beg ch-1), sc in next ch, [ch 3, sk next 3 chs, sc in next ch] across to last 3 chs, ch 2, sk next 2 chs, sc in last ch, turn. (29 [41] sc)
Row 2: Ch 2 (see Pattern Notes), dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 3, [dc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3] across to last ch-3 sp, dc in last ch-3 sp, ch 2, dc in beg sk ch, turn. (29 [41] dc)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first ch-2 sp, ch 3, [sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3] across to last ch-3 sp, sc in last ch-3 sp, ch 2, sc in 2nd ch of beg ch-2, turn.
Rep rows 2 and 3 alternately until piece measures 10 ½ [15] inches from beg, ending with a row 2. At end of last row, do not fasten off.
