Overview

THE SERENITY OF TRINITY IS THREATENED AND ITS FUTURE DEPENDS ON TWO STARBRIDGE AMBASSADORS
Return to Trinity where Earth had first discovered intelligent life that allowed them admittance into the Cooperative League of Systems. Through friendship and understanding the men and women of StarBridge are forming bonds with the natives.
In the skies of Trinity, the birdlike Grus welcome the deaf human ambassador, Tesa. In the seas of Trinity, the aquatic Singers communicate with the young StarBridge student, Jib. But on the surface of Trinity, an alien life form has landed, and these amphibious beings from a distant world are definitely not friendly.

About the Author

A.C. Crispin is the author of the bestselling Star Wars novels The Paradise Snare, The Hutt Gambit, and Rebel Dawn. She's also written four top-selling Star Trek novels: Yesterday's Son, Time for Yesterday, The Eyes of the Beholders, and Sarek.

Ms. Crispin's most famous genre work was writing the 1984 novelization of the television miniseries V. She went on to collaborate on two more books in the V series, East Coast Crisis with Howard Weinstein, and Death Tide with Deborah A. Marshall.

Ms. Crispin has not confined herself to writing media-related fiction. Half her work is in her own original universes. Her major science fiction undertaking was the StarBridge series for Berkley/Putnam. These books, written solo or in collaboration with gifted new talents, centered around a school for young diplomats, translators and explorers, both alien and human, located on an asteroid far from Earth.

KATHLEEN O'MALLEY
Kathleen O'Malley has collaborated with A.C. Crispin on two of the seven Starbridge books: Silent Dances and Silent Songs and has also worked on Serpent's Gift. She spent spent most of her career working with animals including: working on an Arabian horse farm, breeding and showing Doberman pinschers and greyhounds, working in professional dog show kennels, and gradually moved into humane work and animal rescue. But the job she credits as having the greatest impact on her life was working with wildlife at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. She worked there for more than twenty years with a variety of endangered species including bald eagles, Andean condors, masked bobwhite quail, and four species of cranes. That included the endangered whooping crane and even more endangered Mississippi sandhill crane.
Kathleen has also written a Star Trek Next Generation book (Possession) and worked with A.C. Crispin on the novelization of Alien Resurrection based on the script by Josh Whedon. She also has contributed stories in three anthologies: Tales of Zorro, The Ultimate Werewolf, and Werewolves and Shapeshifters: Encounters with the Beast Within.
