After Alexis Douglas is attacked in her home, she decides it's time to seek out help in solving her brother's murder. The police believe he died by suicide and that he was wrapped up in some shady business, but Alexis knows her brother better than that and pays a visit to his former best friend, TJ Roman. TJ is a private investigator for West Investigations and agrees to take the case, especially after he hears the details of Alexis's attack. The two quickly bond and find their mutual attraction is worth exploring, but only after the case is solved. VERDICT This adrenaline-spiking suspense novel by Richards (A Stalker's Prey) will have readers wanting to explore the entire "West Investigations" series, featuring books that are well-written and entertaining.—Shondra Brown
