Revised clinical chapters address anatomy and physiology, patient assessment and management, and specific nursing diagnoses. Eleven new chapters discuss topics such as cultural diversity, use of clinical pathways, mechanisms of injury, fluids and electrolytes, elder trauma, obstetric trauma, domestic violence, elder abuse and neglect, sexual assault, and substance abuse.
