Overview

Megan, a sultry red head, worked as a RN fourteen years earlier where she met and got involved with a married man Dr. Aaron Newton. Megan fell head over heels in love the first time she laid eyes on him and vowed in her heart to be the next Mrs. Newton.

At the time Aaron and Megan met, Aaron was having marital problems and entered into a short affair with Megan. The affair ended after the doctor decided to return home to his wife and work on their marriage. Megan was distraught that Aaron ended the affair, and consequently sent Aaron a letter stating she had moved back to California to be far away from him. Meanwhile, Aaron and Winter decided to give their marriage a second chance and went on to have three kids, Marvell, Nasia and Lilly the baby. Life in the Newton’s home was great, or so they thought. Little did they know that Megan’s letter twelve years earlier was a complete lie, that she never left, and has been living in the same area all this time unnoticed with a secret.

This saga will take you on a journey of love and war, certainty to uncertainty, joy and sorrow as Megan rears her head and strikes again at the happy Newton family. Will the undying love Aaron and Winter share be sufficient to overcome the obstacles they faced? Will their steadfast walk in their faith keep them grounded? Maintaining focus is what led author Pauline R. Evans to create and complete her debut novel, Winter’s Kisses. “I have always wanted to write, be it short poems, short stories, whatever came to my imagination. I knew one day I would have a book and now it has happened.”
“In June 2009, I was standing at my bedroom window, looking out at the flowers and thinking, ‘Lord, will I ever get a job again?’ And then the answer was given to me. My job was there waiting on me; it had been all the time. I only had to claim it. My job was writing, thus the concept which became Winter’s Kisses.”
A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Pauline holds an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Technology from Fayetteville Technical Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Campbell University. Additionally, she earned a certificate in Nursing Assistant from Daytona Beach College in 1995.
Self-described as a learner, an achiever, confident and disciplined relater who is passionate for excellence. Pauline now resides in the Atlanta, GA, metro with her husband, Robert, and two daughters, where she is busy working on her second novel, She Never Left, the sequel to Winter’s Kisses.
