Paul Sinclair is no one of any special significance. He is a simple man who is striving to sincerely love all people equally — including those who are most difficult to love — by learning to constantly separate people from their actions. He has dedicated his life to working for world peace through non-violent means.
The grass-eating lion story came to Paul while he was trying to meditate on a train journey on his way to work overnight as a nursing assistant in a psychiatric ward. That particular night was unusually peaceful and quiet allowing Paul to use a PC in the office to type the backbone of the story out quite quickly.
Therefore, he doesn't consider himself to be the author of it in the truest sense of the word, but merely its 'delivery man'.
In 2017, 3,585 free copies of the first edition of Shanti the Grass-eating Lion were delivered to Uganda to be used to help rehabilitate former child soldiers and abductees. That led to Paul meeting some of Africa’s most selfless and dedicated humanitarians and that was how ESN Bigger Meals and many other beautiful dreams got started.
The books have also become popular in schools and they have been shared throughout Africa. They have even been used recently to successfully resolve conflicts and turn adversaries into friends. What has become abundantly clear is that many more printed copies now need to be shared across the continent far and wide.
