Overview

Shaking Cancer is a collection of stories that inspire us to share our strength with others who have had cancer enter their lives. The theme for Shaking Cancer comes from a "milkshake moment" with Mom. After we made the decision that it was time to call hospice and have them help make Mom more comfortable, Mom and I each drank a cold milkshake. For Mom, it was soothing on her scratchy throat, which was a result of the advanced stages of the cancer. For me, it was more than that. It was a moment for us to finally have a conversation that didn't focus completely on this disease. It was a moment where we were Shaking Cancer.
