Towards the end of the XIX century, a race from another world (the scientists hypothesized Mars) invaded the Earth. The reason for their attempt was more than just establishing a bridgehead, and they started the �Terraforming� (or rather, the �Marsforming�) of the environment, until everything was the colour of the blood...
The Cold Hell is a short steampunk story prequel to Clockwork, first book of Shadow of Mars saga. DieGo Publishing has taken the task to translate this steampunk saga, Clockwork is scheduled for end of 2014.

About the Author

Augusto Chiarle was born in the 1970, is an eclectic man. As most writers, he has changed many jobs: translator of role-playing games, deputy editor of a fantasy magazine, advertising, typographer, copyist, computer scientist, musician, and then meteorological observer, instructor of meteorology for pilots and other airport activities. He has also had some interesting love stories, on which we won't stop for privacy reasons. Wanting to give vent to his own creativeness, as author, he devoted to the writing of numerous sceneries for role-plays and stories for different Italian magazines specialized in fantasy (especially in the years '80-�90), screen-plays for short films (of which he sometimes has also taken care of photography, direction and shots), to the illustration (he created the cover of his steampunk volumes) but also to the music: born as a saxophonist, he has taken care of a web-radio (�TWM Relaxing Radio�), some podcasts devoted to ambient music and, above all, �his� The Wimshurst's Machine, �steampunk� band with which has recorded several albums and with which has traveled worldwide, receiving numerous international awards. Augusto has published the short story The Cold Hell with DieGo Publishing, and the first book of his steampunk saga, Shadow of Mars: Clockwork, is planned for end of 2014.
