About the Author

Helene Thian is a graduate of Louisiana State University and Loyola Law School of New Orleans, and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. The recipient of a Monbusho scholarship, she completed her studies in 1986 at Sophia University in Tokyo under Professor Robert J. Bailon, and has been working in the legal field in Tokyo since then, as well as pursuing her favorite interests-"things Japanese" and foreign entrepreneurship in Japan.
