About the Author

The author, Riccardo Pellicciaro, received a Ph.D. in financial economics from Fordham University and is currently a professor emeritus of economics and finance in the Global Business and Transportation Department of State University of New York Maritime College where he taught macro and microeconomic courses, strategic business management courses as well as graduate courses in business statistics, corporate finance, and ship finance.

Dr. Pellicciaro's research interests are in capital markets, portfolio theory, and ground-breaking novel application of economics and financial tools in asset management.
