About the Author

Charles Herbert Best (1899-1978), C.B.F., M.D., D.Sc., LL.D., F.R.S., was Professor and Head of the Banting and Best Department of Medical Research and the Department of Physiology, University of Toronto, and was co-discoverer of insulin with F.G. Banting in 1921.
