Overview

The story begins with a flashback to 1945 and reflects an eyewitness sequence of events that took place just at the end of the war. With the alliance of the Vatican, a German U-boat was secretly on its way to Argentina, filled with a trove of Hitler’s plundered treasures. Only a few on board were aware of its secret cargo; a billion dollars in gold bullion, untold amounts of stolen art and seized religious treasures. Among the Nazi’s looted gold were also chests of gold coins bearing the seal of the Vatican. The Vatican was to remain above any suspicion of their involvement in aiding and abetting the Nazis. Rather than allowing the U-Boat to be captured by the Coast Guard the U-Boat was scuttled. Some believed that hidden among the stolen religious treasures was Hitler’s most prized possession, Christianity’s greatest religious relic, the spear that punctured the side of Jesus Christ, the True Spear of Destiny

Almost fifty years later Victor Benilous an accomplished archaeologist / treasure hunter was given clues to the location of the scuttled German U-Boat. As he got ready to start his search, he was confronted by competing sinister forces who would stop at nothing in order to keep the Vatican’s secret. The intense race was on, who would be first to recover the Vatican gold and the Spear of Destiny.

The Greatest Treasure Ever Found
As Reported by Treasure Diver Magazine
On October 1993 and Sources Magazine,
the journal of underwater education in May 1994

On April 5, 1993 the Associated Press reported world wide and announced the recovery of the legendary “Isabella Emerald” the prized possession of Montezuma, the Aztec Emperor, and then seized by the Conquistador Hernan Cortes. The treasure was recovered by archaeologist and adventurer, Victor Benilous, on a Spanish Shipwreck in international waters.
The 964 ct. GIA certified Isabella Emerald is considered as one of the world’s largest emeralds. The initial recovery included 100,000 carats of cut and polished emeralds and over 1 million carats of uncut emeralds; including the world’s largest natural emerald conglomerate, weighting 25,644 carats. The treasure trove comprised of hundreds of unique pieces of gold and emerald jewelry, several Aztec / Mayan Jade masks, as well as eight rare Mayan ceremonial crystal skulls, and related artifacts.
The Isabella Emerald was featured on the cover of Times Magazine, international Issue and in the book "Diamonds & Precious Stones" as one of the world's most famous emeralds, alongside stones like the Hope Diamond and the British Crown Jewels.

Virtually every major newspaper and magazine throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, and Cuba carried the story of the discovery; as well as all of the South American Countries.

The discovery was also reported in Paris by "Le Dimanche”, and the London Times, which generated a request from the Queens mother to view the “Isabella Emerald Treasure Collection. Live talk shows in Australia and New Zealand, as well as local papers in Geneva, Germany, Spain, Korea and Japan carried the story.
