Second Wave and other stories (An Anthological Journey) is a collection of ten short stories by Martin Wodi. The stories are set all over the world, and in keeping with the title takes the reader on a journey across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Martin is a master of his art. He skillfully employs comely descriptive language, active dialogue and piquant imagery like a hyper-realistic artist. His virtuosity and majesty of language quickly blur the lines of reality and make-belief and transport the reader into a de ja vu world of sorts. While reading Life to the Fullest and Iftar Memories I actually thought I was in Hawaii and the Sahara desert. I could almost smell, feel and touch the flora of the Islands and the Date Palms in the desert.
