Storms encase Katie. She’s had a hard time coping and moving on to face life’s new prospects, which will either make her weaker or stronger. Due to her dysfunctional rearing, she has big-time trust issues. Her dad was devastated at the loss of her mom and didn’t know how to deal with it. He resorted to becoming an alcoholic and an abusive man. I really delved into this story because it dealt with raw relatable issues. The characters were interesting and believable. Suspenseful and shadowed with intrigue, mystery, twists, turns and faith in a sovereign God. An upright, clean read and entirely entertaining.

This is the first I've read of C.J. Peterson, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this author. Seasons of Change is a powerful story which kept me glued to the pages.



Kate is struggling. She lost her mother to an illness and her father has taken a downward spiral. Things all around her continue to change and she must learn to adapt. There were several twists and turns in the story that had me yelling, crying, and sometimes even laughing. I was wrapped up in the story. I felt a variety of emotions and I couldn't help but be sympathetic for Kate. Her struggle is real. Kate has a hard time dealing with her feelings toward God because she can't understand why He would take good, honest people and it keeps happening. She tries to go on with her life day by day, hiding the painful truth and secrets until one day they can't be hidden any longer.



Very beautifully written story and I'm looking forward to more from this author
