About the Author

Emily Holland is the author of five children's fiction titles, four under a pseodynm and one, Mud, which was long-listed for the Carnegie Medal in 2019, under her married name of Emily Thomas. She has also worked in publishing as an editor for over three decades, in both adult and children's fiction and non-fiction and across a variety of genres and subjects. Emily is now a freelance editor, non-fiction writer and copywriter, as well as a novelist, and she lives in South London.

Salini Perera
is a freelance picture book illustrator based in Toronto, Canada, who was born in Sri Lanka, raised in Scarborough, and has been making art for as long as she can remember.
