About the Author

William Dallas grew up in a Christian home on a farm in Northern Ireland. Qualifying from Stranmillis College, Belfast as a teacher of Science and Religious Knowledge, he did further studies with the Open University graduating with a BA degree in Biology. Working in the same secondary school for thirtyfive years, he taught mainly Science but also some Religious Knowledge. William was head of the school’s Science Department for thirty years. He also was Chief Examiner for three years and Chief Moderator for six years of the Environmental Science Examinations for sixteen year old pupils in Northern Ireland. William has been an elder in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland for over forty years. He is married for more than fortyeight years to Doreen, a primary school teacher. They have one son called Alan.
