Overview

This book is from my perspective as a veteran educator. It is intended to offer some insight, and stir minds to want to arrive at behavioral solutions, more suggestions, and more discussions concerning our children. Also, to help generate a measure of help for students, parents, school districts, and America's communities. Growing up in the South, I experienced many kinds of behaviors in my environment. These behaviors and their effects on me are discussed in this book. Finally, defining and dealing with students' issues in my educational career as a teacher and assistant principal for over 35 years has equipped me with terrific experiences that will lend themselves to my discussion.

About the Author

After thirty-five years as a teacher and a few years as an assistant principal,
Dorothy began her new career as a writer, which has allowed her to continue pursuing her educational and teaching interests. She believes that the success of children in adulthood begins with being taught powerful, positive concepts and consequences very early in life. In addition to teaching, Dorothy wrote curriculum for GPISD, was named Who's Who Among America's Teachers, was awarded
All American Scholar, and was honored twice as an Unsung Hero. Dorothy continues to serve her community and her church, and often serves as a substitute teacher.
She is the author of Why Dinosaurs Are Extinct, The Princesses of Arvallay, and
Six Bees for Children.
