About Peter Schulman: he earned his doctorate in French and Romance Philology from Columbia University, and is Professor of French and International Studies at Old Dominion University. He is the author of The Sunday of Fiction: The Modern French Eccentric, and recently translated Jules Verne’s The Secret of Wilhelm Storitz.
