Anxiety can be caused by a lot of factors, and one of these factors is work; the human body needs rest; we are just built that way. Therefore working excessively is something that goes against our natural programming. When you go against any natural process, the result is always catastrophic:
Excessive work, overexertion and getting yourself too tired are fundamental triggers of anxiety, where they may not be the sole cause of the anxiety, they do fuel it. So, look at your work schedule, are you working more than the recommended 8 hour schedule? Are you working at more than once place? Are you doing more than you need to at work?
If your schedule or routine consists of extremities then you’ve got to eliminate them. Notch it down a bit, work shouldn’t come at the price of your health. At the same time, make sure you don’t end up becoming so relaxed that you fail to reach your long term goals. That would be suicide for your long term anxiety goals.

Is your job output-oriented? Figure out what is causing you to work excessively and eliminate it.
