Overview

Sandy missed the boy that raised her so much she refused to connect with anyone that considered adopting her as a pet. She was terrified of the shelter experience and she spent day after day in the corner of her enclosure shaking with fear. It seemed there was little hope of adopting out this large muscular dog. Everyday brought Sandy closer to her last day. Could there be a family for such a lonely creature?
A heartwarming story that reminds us finding a real friend is worth the time and effort.

About the Author

Dorothy grew up in Utah, with a great mother that read to her every day. As a young girl, Dorothy started writing books and illustrating them for personal enjoyment. Her love of creating new books for student use continued, during her many years of teaching second language students in the elementary grades. A need to work from home encouraged her to put her love of writing and illustrating into action as published works.
