Saint Surdas' Ram Charitawali (Surdas Ramayan)

This Book contains the English Transliteration/Roman of the original verses (which are in Hindi) + Verse-by-verse English version with detailed notes related to the respective verse.

The Book titled ‘Ram Charitawali’ (or the story of the epic ‘Ramayan’) was narrated by the famous blind saint of India named ‘Surdas’. It is in three sections: Section 1 presents the full text of ‘Ram Charitawali’ with its detailed English version with extensive notes; Section 2 presents ‘Sur Sarawali’ which is another version of the same divine story of Lord Ram written by Surdas in a compacted form; and Section 3 has three parts—part 3.1 presents a life-sketch of saint Surdas, part 3.2 gives a brief introduction of the main characters of the story, and part 3.3 tells the whole story of the epic Ramayana in an easy flowing English narrative.

Its one of the rare classics based on the famous epic story of the ‘Ramayana’ which narrates the glorious deeds of Lord Ram who was a noble prince of the kingdom of Ayodhya and who is regarded as a manifestation of the Supreme Lord of the world who had come down to earth to rid it of evil entities that had been tormenting the inhabitants of this planet.

The amazing aspect of this book is that it was narrated by a ‘blind saint’, implying that it is an inspired book pouring out of the heart of a blessed person whose soul had the privilege of direct communion with the supreme Soul.
