Collective stories shared by S-Ateen members offer hope to young people who have been affected by the sexual behavior of a relative or friend. S-Ateen members share on common problems including:
• Covering up their feelings.
• Not asking for help.
• Trying to escape their own problems with compulsive behavior,
• Worrying that they may be the cause of the sexaholic's behavior.
Further, S-Ateen members share the benefits they have received from attending S-Ateen meetings such as understanding the impact of growing up in a sexaholic home, feeling relief and peace of mind, learning to have healthy conversations and resolve disagreements, and more.
Note: The S-Ateen Fellowship welcomes young people, ages 12-19, who have been affected by the sexual behavior of someone close to them. S-Ateen meetings are guided by certified adult S-Ateen Group Sponsors and follow the S-Ateen 12 Steps and 12 Traditions. Find this eBook and additional literature in print version at www.sanon.org.
