Overview

River of Champions is a true, against-all-odds story about common teen-aged boys whose single goal, and the path to reach it, turned them into extraordinary young men. The story traces their passion, desire, trials, betrayal, failure and triumphs. The story is played out against the stark background of frigid winters in the years when the brilliant Aurora Borealis lit the night sky of a struggling, comma, impoverished far-North Minnesota town; a time when Elvis was front and center.

In a story of twists and surprises the boys turn the otherwise sleepy little town into hold-your-breath excitement and pride. The story is a treatise of never-giving-up, of what humanity can accomplish when it believes in itself and others. It is a story of coming of age. It is an inspiring American sports story.
