): River Girls is a book in which four girls, just like you, each tell the story of how they began fly fishing and why they think you should give it a try. Besides their stories, there's lots of information and comments from the girls on how to get started, the gear and how to use it, places to go fly fishing, illustrations of how to cast, pictures of girls out enjoying fly fishing, and much more.

In River Girls, Cecilia "Pudge" Kleinkauf uses the real-life experiences of four young women- Alyssa, Samantha, Alex, and Blair- to create an informative and engaging introduction to the sport of flyfishing for pre-teen and teenage girls. Using a "girls can do this, too" approach, the book conveys the idea that flyfishing is more fun and challenging than other kinds of fishing and that it is definitely not just a sport for boys.

She also leads guided trips for saltwater fly fishing to Mexico each spring. A regular presenter at outdoor shows around the country, Pudge is also one of the ?Special Explorers? for the Alaska Magazine Television Series on PBS.
