Rise of the Urban Eagle

Cooper is a young pigeon whose father Victor takes pride in being humble and helping others. When Victor's heroism tragically leaves Cooper all alone, Cooper reflects on his father's bravery and decides to follow his father's example and request to "be more than what people expect."

It doesn't take long for an opportunity to present itself for Cooper to test his resolve. Faced with a young man threatening the kind old man that feeds the pigeons in the park, Cooper rises up and becomes a hero in his own right.

Rise of the Urban Eagle is an inspiring tale of the strength of the bond between father and son as well as a story showing how bravery can come from anywhere and for the simplest of reasons. Rise of the Urban Eagle - you'll never look at pigeons quite the same way ever again.

About the Author

Ed Gehres, Jr. - Having heard the derogatory phrase “rats with wings” so many times that he finally decided to write a story about them, this is Ed Gehres Jr.’s first children’s book. When he’s not telling stories about urban eagles to his daughter, Ed is usually writing or working as a business executive.

Ben Rollman - When the idea of drawing pigeons for a children’s book was first proposed Ben was upfront in saying that he’s never drawn them before. As he got into it, though, Ben found himself having a great time creating Cooper and the other pigeons of River Ridge. When he’s not enjoying time with his children, Ben has been known to spend his time drawing robots and comic book characters.
