Overview

A poor peasant farmer, toiling on the land to simply provide the bare necessities for his family, is one of many called by the king to suppress a rebellion near the Welsh border.

However fate holds a twist for him as he becomes involved in the politics, deception, and intrigue of medieval England during the 10th century. Pledging allegiance to the prince who would one day become king, he is swept along and witnesses the events that formed the country today known as England.
