SERIES SYNOPSIS. RISE AND FALL OF A MAFIA
This is a single story, three-book serial novel taken from true events, not necessarily related, as recorded in law enforcement files. In its development, the complexity of this story became convoluted. Several subplots had to be interwoven. These include: two passionate romantic stories where one is rocked by a what appears to be a tragic ending but ends in indescribable happiness and the second by a passionate beginning but ends in heartbreaking divorce; a mystery of captivating circumstances that affect family relationships forever; a fascinating friendship bond between two women that endures and endears through tragedy after tragedy, romance after romance, and despite an event that almost ends several lives. At the conclusion, lives have been forever changed, friendships survive, and love endures, although disappointments remain. This is what makes fictional life, real life.
PART 3. RISE AND FALL OF A MAFIA
Claire is informed that her fiancé has been killed in a disastrous plane crash. Claire is devastated and turns to Lilly for comfort. Claire falls into deep depression. Meanwhile, Lilly's marriage is falling apart and she also becomes extremely depressed. They both turn to Marcus for comfort. Marcus also has problems because he and his brother have developed an immense rift. Marcus discovers more incredible family relationships but can't reveal them to Sortelli. Extraordinary conflicts unfold, tearing relationships apart and bringing new ones together. Sortelli's paranoia destroys his marriage. He treats Lilly cruelly, not a woman he loves nor who loves him. Claire must confront an inescapable and horrific truth. Either she must resign her undercover role and disappear forever or she must find a resolution to terrifying problems when the mafia's godfather begins an unimaginable campaign of horror that threatens the lives of Marcus, Claire, and Lilly.

About the Author
KING HAMBONE is a nickname bestowed upon the author, Augustus Hammond Green, Jr. by his engineering peers during a 50+ years career as a radar engineer. The nickname has been trademarked for authorship and book related services and registration is pending. Since my true name is Augustus Hammond Green, Jr., my peers usually called me Hammond. But one day, a close friend began calling me Hambone and it stuck. Others started prefacing it with King because of my first name, equating it to Caesar Augustus I suppose. Consequently, I have now taken advantage of the name and am using it as the author’s name for my writings, hoping it will be easy to remember as well as eye-catching. My real name is not exactly easy to remember.
Many published articles have appeared in technical journals and several patents have been granted. While not new to writing, technical writing is far different from creative writing. Having retired, I am now embarking on a creative writing career. My genres and subgenres include mystery, suspense, thrillers, crime and romance. I believe any good story should include a good romance or two, for without love, does life have any meaning? I might even try writing a few children's stories later, like the made-up ones I used to tell my daughter and grandson. There is nothing like bringing pleasure to a child.
As a father, I used to love telling stories to my daughter. She would rather me makeup stories rather than just read from a book. When she grew up and married, she had a son. He, too, preferred that I makeup stories rather than read from a book. So here I am, still making up and telling stories.
My favorite hobbies are Model Railroading, telling made-up stories to children, and reading. My English teacher in high school introduced me to Creative Writing and now I have decided, although late in life, to try my hand at writing stories for which she inspired me to do.
I have a passion for doggies; they can teach so much about love. They are devoted, never judge, and are so forgiving. Kinda similar to creative writing in that good writing, in my humble opinion, always involves love. Dog stories are among my favorites. My all-time favorite story is "LAD, A DOG" by Albert Payson Terhune.
So you see, I do love to read! Perhaps even more than write!!
