About the Author

Melanie Blaikie’s love of all things sparkly began when she trained as a diamond valuer for De Beers. She went on to forge a successful career as a jewellery designer – working for many of the biggest names in the industry, including Garrard, Asprey and Tiffany. After studying traditional silversmithing techniques, Melanie discovered silver clay and is now one of the foremost tutors of silver clay work in the UK.
