Overview

Niko Wulfersen is the drummer for the red-hot band The Walking Dead, and all he wants when he gets offstage at a Boston show is to be left alone and to eat a greasy burger. What he gets instead is a colorful spread of vegetarian food and a vase of flowers from someone claiming to be his “biggest fan.”

Martini Olive Williams is co-owner of the Flour Power bakery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. When her friend Susie starts dating the lead singer of The Walking Dead and asks Marty, along with her flamboyant best friend and business partner, Sonny, to cater the party after the concert in Boston, how can she refuse? In an unexpected encounter with the reclusive drummer, Marty literally knocks him off his feet.

As Niko and Marty’s romance heats up, the intentions of Niko’s fan threaten to turn dangerous. And when the fan begins to single out Marty, Niko decides it’s time to fight back. Can Niko and Marty’s “Rhythms of Love” survive with all the differences between them and a stalker wanting to keep them apart?

About the Author

Annie Rife recently moved from the East Coast to the Pacific Northwest, along with her husband, cat, and two ferrets. She manages to squeeze in her writing when she’s not taking care of her animals (husband included), house, yard, and everything else that puts demands on her time — like her full-time accounting job.

People have called Annie a contradictory person. Accounting is a very left-brain occupation, and she’s almost Vulcan-like in her logic, yet her right brain manages to create characters and works of fiction at just about every opportunity. Maybe it helps that she personifies just about everything. How many people do you know who assign names (and personalities) to their cookware? That doesn’t make Annie freakish, though. It simply means she’s unique … just like everybody else.

Annie has been collecting coins since she was 12 years old and is especially proud of her ever-growing collection. She also loves the outdoors and is thrilled to finally own a home so that she can now have a garden. The scenery around where she lives is breathtaking, and she plans to take as many photos of the area as her friends and family can stand to look at. She recently started to learn French, constantly struggles to find time to practice the viola, is determined to take some continuing-education classes to advance her knowledge about all kinds of things that interest her, and does her best to just enjoy all the things life has to offer.

Annie welcomes your feedback about this book and encourages you to stay informed about her other upcoming projects at www.annierife.com.
