Revisiting Florida's Geology presents an assembly of the state's early geologic history during the Paleozoic into the Mesozoic Era including a discussion on geologic formations, structures, and tectonic processes forming the early basement complex. The Cenozoic history is presented in the context of the uppermost limestone and sedimentary rock formations. The various types of landscapes are presented using selected county geologic maps to show which formations are responsible for producing flatlands, gently to moderately sloping hills, steep hills, valleys, and other features typically observed while traveling throughout the state. The book presents 294 drawings and photographs to guide the reader through the text.
