Overview

A kingdom in peril. An impending invasion by the Karnivans. A kidnapped princess. And a cryptic message about a lion in the Forbidden City.

When sixteen-year-old Prince Eristan becomes the king of Cheswold, opposition arises from an unexpected source, and the result could be the destruction of Cheswold. Determined to save the kingdom, the young king stands firm against the enemy until his sister Cordelia is kidnapped.

Is Sterling the mastermind behind the kidnapping? Does the theft of the golden dagger have any bearing on the abduction?

When the armies of Cheswold face Grimlor and the invading Karnivans, the young king receives expert military advice from an exiled prisoner. The resulting battle ends in a most unexpected way.
