About the Author

Having grown up as the son of a professional football player, Dean Peters has never felt obligated to do things the conventional way. He's not normal. And neither is his art. Though his illustration style is classic comic book with tapered black lines and bright colors, he draws on the computer. His cartoons are goofy with subtle details that tell you more about the characters than you wanted to know. (At times, more than you may want your kids to know.)

Since he draws on the computer, Dean was very excited to get his first NookColor™ so he could read digitally as well... comics of course. Whether it's the size of the type or his failing eye sight, he found many graphic novels difficult to read or overly simplistic in line quality. So he decided to design a comic book specifically for the NookColor™ that other artist could enjoy... scrutinizing. (He provided a black and white Nook™ version as well.)

Lawrence (Pug) Pügnelly and Dean met at a factory where both work while they wait for the economy to improve. As an out of work ad man, Pug has a way with words and a passion for writing that at times is scary. Having grown up moving frequently as an army brat, Pug has seen a lot of America (and has virtually no friends). His humor is mean spirited, political in nature and often dead on accurate. Though Pug likes to make fun of the institutions he blames for his woes, his observations are insightful and timely. We're sure those occupying Wall Street will agree.
