About the Author

Nathan Vieth lives in Lincoln, Nebraska where he works as an educator with young children. He loves creating fantasy worlds when he has time. His sister is the talented artist who brought Remy and Remi to life. This is his first book.

Karissa Bettendorf is an artist and writer who lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband, son, and dog. She has been drawing and writing as long as she can remember. She graduated from Art Instruction Schools and is currently a member of Noyes Art Gallery in Lincoln, as well as the owner and artist of Karis Fine Arts. She does commissions, originals, and illustrations in a variety of media, in between her other full-time job of caring for her second grader, her husband, her 100-year-old house, and reading all the novels she can get her hands on.
