Overview

God did not permit divorce in the beginning. He designed marriages to be for life, "[in] the beginning it was not so" (Matthew 19:8). Moses, however, allowed a man to put away his unfaithful wife because of the hardness of his own heart. Men abused this allowance and put away their wife for any reason. Jesus tried to correct the application; however, believers are divorcing for any reason. This book looks at covenants and legal contracts to get a better understanding of marriage, divorce, and remarriage for today. - Michael
