About the Author

Born the 2nd oldest of 6 children, she grew up often escaping to her bedroom to read, draw, and write. Somehow, she managed to graduate high school and even continued her education by being granted a Theatre scholarship and earned her degree in pretending to be someone else. After graduating, she served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Toronto, Canada.
Upon returning to the U.S., she earned her Cosmetology License so she could run with scissors and not get yelled at. To really finish the deal, she became a certified Media Makeup Artist.
In 2006 she married her husband who she met while they both worked in a magical far off land the locals call 'The Home Depot.' Now on the search for the ever-elusive Sasquatch, they live in the Pacific Northwest, where her husband is from. When she's not writing stories or speaking fluently in movie quotes, she enjoys drawing, painting, and spending time with her handsome husband and their dog.

This is actually the first time I've read a book like this. I thought it was about Indians yet as I listened to Alexa reading it to me iv was so interested that I couldn't put it down.

I very much so enjoyed this book. When I first started, I was a little apprehensive. After all, it is about berserkers, people filled with rage and a great need to destroy. I thought the darkness, the blood and death so blatantly displayed, would put me off the book. It is true, there is much darkness displayed, but there is a certain light as well, shown in the teasing brothers, the mother intent to see her sons married . . . Altogether, a very enjoyable book.

I really enjoyed this book and all the wonderful characters in it. It's full of comedy to help lighten the suspense at just the right moments and has enough plot twists and turns that it kept me guessing for quite a while. I love all the main characters and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out!
