About the Author

Trena' L. Matthew was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She fell in love with poetry at an early age and began writing poetry in elementary school. She is a mother and teacher. She also served 12 years in the U.S. Army. This is her debut book of poetry. She says there is more to come from her in the future.
