Robert spent his childhood summers on the Great Lakes of Northern Michigan watching meteor showers light the sky under radiant stars. It was the wonder of space that led him to write speculative fiction. He discovered his love of storytelling at a young age, completing his first comic book at age nine, and his first novella at thirteen.
At the University of Michigan, Robert discovered a love of philosophy and set out to write fiction that challenged his own perspective, and the perspectives of his readers. After completing his thesis in creative writing, he set out to write Reality Drop, which he says may be the most important story he ever tells.
