About the Author

SHARON R ADAMS grew up in Ngaruawahia, a small town in the North Island, New Zealand. She comes from an extended family of many. Married into the military life, which saw many wives&partners left alone to raise their children whilst their husbands were serving the country or away on exercises. The family migrated to Australia in 1997 to give their sons broader opportunities. Sadly, their dad passed away in 2001. Sharon’s days are spent working long hours, then in her downtime, traveling as often as possible to see all her grandchildren in both Australia and New Zealand. “My sons inspired me to write this story during a time when one of them was constantly being suspended from High School for fighting. It was difficult for newcomers from other countries to blend in in those earlier years. Through encouraging him to walk away from trouble in Year 9, he gallantly went on to graduate from Year 12. All four sons are doing well in their lives today. I have eight grandchildren whom I treasure greatly”. Family is precious. Family is forever. Love ~ understand ~ hug ~ comfort ~ console ~ support ~ listen ~ share ~ talk ~ laugh lots ~ be positive ~ be you ~ be humble ~ enjoy life.
