Overview

Raudi's Story is written from the point of view of a young Icelandic horse about her first five years of life growing up in Alaska's Matanuska Valley. After nearly dying from a severe illness, this somewhat willful horse is purchased by a middle-aged rider. After many training related challenges, Raudi eventually becomes a reliable riding horse. This book is written at a level that adults will appreciate but that children will comprehend. The book is enjoyed by those who can't get enough of horses as well as those with no horse experience. Beautiful illustrations enhance this book's wonderful story.
