In this opening to the Rapunculus series, Urdhr, a witch who lives alone in the Great Forest, uses magic to create for herself the perfect daughter and companion, Rapunculus. Rapunculus is a great beauty but sadly has no heart and is incapable of love or happiness. Rapunculus's beauty proves to be a problem, however, when she attracts the attention of Circium, a prince with narcissistic personality disorder, and his morbidly depressed stable boy, Fritz. About the Author

Arthur Short is an artist and writer who's work primarily focuses on folkloric and supernatural themes. 'Rapunculus' is his first novel and is loosely based on German and Slavic folklore, which is something that has interested him since a young age.

Genevieve short, his sister, has similar interests, though hers are focused on the more satirical aspects of folklore and mythology. Her love for Shakespearean comedy and 'Monty Python' are largely influential on her writing.

Their sister, Erin, handles media and advertising for the series.

They all live in Florida.
