Rhyme royal (iambic pentameter) was used in this heroic narrative poem written by the man considered by many to be the greatest dramatist of all time. The set speeches are tedious at times, but the long tirades and rhetorical outbursts are just part of this poem which is one of only two heroic narrative poems by the author.
