Rampage!: An Aries Adventure
Madcap, modern yet mythological adventure!

Aries, the ghost of the ram of Golden Fleece fame, is feeling slighted that no one sees him as a real hero, even though on his first quest to Earth he thwarted wicked sorceress Medea. But Medea is plotting again, in the rainforests of the fabled land of El Dorado, and goddess Athena wants Aries and his best friend Alex, zookeeper of the Underworld, to stop her. But this time a 'professional hero' is being sent with them - none other than Aries' arch-nemesis, Jason!

Things are worse than they know, however. Their friend Rose is in the Amazon too, searching for her lost father, and Medea needs Rose's help to restore her powers and wreak revenge, not only on Earth but also in the Underworld . . . and Medea knows just how to manipulate Rose into doing it.

Filled with laugh-out-loud humour, magic and mayhem, this courageous quest pits classic Greek myth and heroism against a modern world full of danger, and the deceptions lurking deep in the heart of the dark jungle.

About the Author

Julia Wills was born in Stafford and moved to Warwickshire via Australia and Oxford, which is not the straightest route. Born in January, she is a Capricorn - the zodiac goat with horns as curly as Aries'. Unlike Aries, though, she is not bald with a wobbly bottom. Well, not quite! Julia has worked for a big oil company, looking after their photo library; for a big sausage maker, helping decide which colour packets their sausages looked best in; and at a village primary school, where she discovered that what children want most from a book is a good giggle. As 'Miss Wills', her favourite lesson to teach was history, since it was there that she and the children first discovered the Ancient Greeks and their fabulous monsters.
Although Julia Wills was born in the last century this absolutely does not make her as old as the Ancient Greeks she tells stories about. However, she does admit to writing for just about as long as she's been able to hold a pen. As a child she lived in the north of England, in Stockport, a town famous for its enormous Victorian viaduct made of 11 million bricks. The artist L S Lowry was very fond of painting it, although it did take up most of his paint, which meant that he had to make his cats and dogs very thin.

After studying Psychology at Oxford University, Julia completed a PGCE at Northampton and a Masters in Writing at Glamorgan (now the New University of South Wales). She has always written but has had lots of other jobs too, such as maintaining a photo library for a Texan oil company, tasting sausages, working for batty professors at Oxford and teaching Year Four children in Northamptonshire. It was here, in the classroom, as Miss Wills, that she discovered just how much children love the Ancient Greeks, their fabulous monsters and glitzy heroes, and more importantly, how children love a good laugh when they read.

Julia lives in Warwickshire with her partner, Jim, and their dog, Bosworth, who is half-poodle, half-spaniel and all cuddles. Find Julia on Facebook: JuliaWillsAuthor or on Twitter: JWillsauthor
