Dennis also notably located the undoctored Mary Moorman photography of the John F. Kennedy assassination in 1983. He is also known for being the Eastern Wisconsin Stock Car Association historian.

George Baumann is the announcer and historian for Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) in Plymouth, Wis. He has been involved in racing for nearly 30 years. His announcing has taken him to at least a dozen tracks to announce races. George was involved in the formation of the Midwest Sprint Car Association (MSA) and still announces many MSA races. George spent four years in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman, which included a year in Vietnam treating wounded marines. After returning to school, George started a broadcasting career that saw him announce thousands of sporting events. He is a member of the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame in Eagle River. George co-authored “70 Years of Plymouth Dirt Track Racing” with Dennis Darovich in 2021.

Verla Peichl first developed an interest in writing in first grade and soon after honed her craft by creating poems and short stories in English classes and for her own personal enjoyment. Despite pursuing a nursing career, writing continued to serve as her passion. In 1986, Verla’s love of writing led her to launch a lengthy tenure as a local newspaper correspondent. Over a span of 34 years, Verla’s newspaper articles appeared in a variety of publications, including The Sheboygan Falls News, Plymouth Review and Sheboygan Press. She retired as newspaper correspondent in 2020. Verla developed her interest in auto racing after marrying her husband, Randy, in 1971. Together, the Peichls have traveled to several racetracks throughout the United States. Verla served as a race reporter for Eastern Wisconsin Stock Cars and Plymouth Dirt Track racing correspondent for The Sheboygan Press from 1999 through 2002.
