Overview

Sarah James is like any other fifteen year old girl. She worries about school, enjoys hanging out with her best friend, and hopes to find love one day.

Sarah begins to feel paranoid and confused when the nightmares about the death of another teenage girl starts to haunt her. Spending the summer before her sophomore year visiting her Aunt in Hodgenville, Kentucky may be the only cure.

It is here that family secrets are revealed, love is found, a secret society is uncovered and the nightmares become a part of who she was always meant to be.

About the Author

Sonya Hill was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. The daughter of a U.S. Army soldier. She grew up in Radcliff, Kentucky. Just outside of Fort Knox Military Base where her dad was stationed. In 1994, she married her high school sweetheart, Tommy Hill. Sonya and Tommy had their first child Thomas Hill, II right before they were sent to Wiesbaden, Germany where Tommy was stationed with the U.S. Army. While stationed in Germany, their daughter Ashleigh Hill was born. Missing home and their family, Sonya and Tommy moved back to Kentucky to raise their children and continue to reside there today.

When their children became teenagers, Sonya was inspired to write "The Quell Saga" for them. She wanted to touch on subjects that teens deal with daily. Subjects such as, figuring out who you are, moving to a new place, dealing with change, and falling in love for the first time. She never planned on selling the books.

Sonya has included some of her original writing mistakes in the book to allow teachers to use it as a teaching tool in their classroom. She is a supporter of education and incorporating the use of technology in the classroom.
