Overview

If you've ever loved a horse, a cowboy, or a cowgirl . . . walk in Moria and Jackson's boots as the word "endurance" becomes more than a trail-riding adventure.
Through an accidental meeting, the two become friends and struggle to build a lasting relationship while competing against each other in endurance racing. Jackson quickly becomes a "loose cannon" in the local horse community.
Moria's school life as a teacher at Cherry Valley Elementary is in question when she uses a unique method to tutor one of her students. Now her career hangs in the balance as she attempts to justify her actions.
Unfortunately for Moria, her lack of trust in her horse and herself spill over into her growing relationship with Jackson. He, too, has some fears and an unknown past. His determination to keep Moria in his life creates a fragile bridge between the two. Can they meet halfway? Is it true love or only lust?
At the National Championship ride, circumstances cause Moria to make a choice where she will finally face her fears . . .

About the Author

Ann Cofield is a proud mom, grandmother, horse lover, retired teacher, and passionate endurance rider.
While spending her early childhood years in Oxford, Mississippi, near William Faulkner’s plantation, she was taught to ride by Faulkner’s daughter, Jill, who let her ride up and down their driveway.
Ann has had horses in her life for as long as she can remember. She would ride for hours at her home in Rome, Georgia, be gone all day traversing fields and woods, but would always be home before dark.
She has experience in hunter-jumper and Tennessee Walking horses, as well as managing several endurance rides and clinics. Ann was the last rider to finish the Tevis Cup in 1987. She has taught English/hunt seat riding to youngsters at The Riding School and has written instructional materials for young riders.
Ann now lives in Bluffton, South Carolina, where she volunteers with Heroes on Horseback, an equine program for special needs kids and spends time with her two therapy dogs.
